No sound on new 8310

Today I bought an 8310 and no matter what I do I cannot get sound out of the speaker, either for ring tones or any other sounds. Headphones work OK and the phone earpiece speaker are OK, but that's not much use if it's not in/next to your ear. Is it a software issue or do I just take it back to the shop?

Thanks for the advice. It's Sunday tomorrow and the shop will be shut. So there's no point me spending the day transferring all my data onto it from my old Palm Tungsten E. Assuming that's possible.

Yeah I'd wait. The Desktop Software that comes with your BB device can synchronize data from a Palm.
