So today this new icon appears on my 8350i.  On the standby screen it is just to the left of the time.  It has the number "1".  To the right of the "1" is a blue box with a white arrow pointing up to a red ball?  It is driving me NUTS!!!!  Any help will greatly be appreciated by this OCD, **bleep** retentive BB user!

Hi and welcome to the forums!

You wrote specifically that it was on the standby screen. Do you mean the homescreen?

If the indicator is on the regular homescreen it usually indicates a message,

In this case due to the colors I would suggest looking in the BB messenger or Facebook application.

I would also suggest going to the message queue, press menu, select view folders.

Search each folder including the WAP push and Browser folders for a message.

If you cannot find a message try resetting via battery pull.

No data will be lost when doing the following: pull the battery while the device is ON.

Replace after a minute, Let the device reboot 1-3 min, see if the problem is fixed.

Thanks for your help bifocal.....however, that didn't work.  Still no clue what this icon is.  I hope that others will respond as well.  Regarding language, thanks for the heads up.  In my own defense I didn't think that what I said was offensive but it will not be an issue moving forward.

At any rate, is there a website that lists all icons?  this way I can try to match it up on my own.

i think i had this a few week ago sound familiar i think i could not access a certain page on web browser and it asked if i wanted to save request for when signal was better check your SMS and email folders to see if there is any message in there that is highlighted in yellow(as not been read) if there is click on it and delete it the icon should go if its the one im thinkin of??

any help??
