Is there any way to open a BBB file without buying an application.

There are many free software available which are able to do the purpose like magicberry ,ABC amber BlackBerry converter.  MagicBerry .

I tried Magic Berry.  It gives an error message when you try to open a BBB file.  It says "Error Parsing the file, couldn't read the DB titles."

You can Also try ABC Amber BlackBerry Converter or  IPD bbb Extract  Those software were also able to open and extract those Backup files.

Thanks.  IPD bbb extract was not free so I did not use it.

ABC Amber Blackberry Converter has a free version which allows you to view your .bbb files so that is what I downloaded.  It's new name is Elcomsoft Blackberry Backup Explorer

Hopefully, in the next year or two, we'll get a free utility that allows you to backup, view AND edit your contacts (like the old Palm Desktop used to do).  I currently use Microsoft Outlook but you have to buy a license for each computer.

                         Yes I know ABC Amber BlackBerry Converter is now known as Elcomsoft Blackberry Backup Explorer. So can I assume you are able to achieve what you needed.
