Opening back up files on pc

I have created a back up from my phone to pc, but when I try to open files I get a message saying windows cannot open the file type. Any suggestions would be gratefully received.

HI.

You need to install 3rd party software. For example ABC Amber BlackBerry Converter.

Click on Like

If the Problem Solved mark as "Solution" for posts that have solved

Thanks for that, but I wonder what is the point of providing a facility to create a back up and not provide a facility to retrieve it without have to buy another software package !!!
