Re: PASSWORD KEEPER?? HOW TO USE IT - Why not have one with desktop input too

Yes my email works fine after the upgrade.  But I seemed to have lost a few things: MemoPad, PasswordKeeper, GTalk...pretty anoying actually.  Not sure how to get these apps back.  From what I've been able to figure out GTalk isn't available or simply won't work with 4.5 yet...

I use TMobile.  Great service.  Get the download from blackberry.com - I wouldn't trust it from anywhere else.

Re: PASSWORD KEEPER?? HOW TO USE IT - Why not have one with desktop input too

I recently upgraded to the new Desktop Manager and handheld software.

My Password Keeper icon has disappeared, and I did confirm that all icons were shown.  Program is listed when viewing the handheld application list.

Support had me go thru the Application Loader and it is checked, and as I said, it does show up on the handheld application list, but the app cannot be started from this list, only from an icon, which no longer exists.

Any suggestions?

I use this feature extensively, and since the back up program keeps the info hidden to help secure it, I would have to recreate everything if moving to a new program.

Re: PASSWORD KEEPER?? HOW TO USE IT??

Welc:smileywink:me to the F:smileyhappy:rums!

Have you tried going to your main screen and clicking your MENU key.  Click SHOW ALL and make sure its not hidden. Also, check your other folders and make sure it isnt behind anything?  Did you check your application loader?  Lastly remove battery - leave off for about 30 seconds and replace - allowing your phone to reboot.

Re: PASSWORD KEEPER?? HOW TO USE IT??

Hi cathlabnurse. I can see the icon, however, when I enter Password Keeper, it rejects my password and says, "A password entry created on 10/20/2007 is protected by an old password.  Please enter the old password to convert the entry:"

It gives me the option of deleting the entry and then brings up the next one with a different date.

Everything worked fine until the upgrade a few hours ago.  That's the only thing that doesn't seem to work correctly.  I probably have 50 entries and really don't want to re-enter all of them!

Oh, and I did remove my battery to reset having learned that trick a few years ago.  Didn't help this one.
