I have a Curve 9930 it is 14 months old so out of its warranty, the battery totally drained to the point that i needed to buy a new one as it would charge, but not switch on....I have since bought 2 new batteries and both have not lasted longer than a week...i received my 2nd one yesterday and it has gone on me today...when on charge it just shows a battery with a yellow lightning bolt...any advice PLEASE!!!!...

Hi and Welcome to the Community!
Please try this sequence...note that, throughout the entire 4h15m process, your BB must remain connected to a known-good wall charger (not PC USB):
This has been known to "kick start" some BBs.
It is also possible that your battery or BB has experienced a problem...to test, this sequence is needed:
The results of this will indicate if it's your BB or your battery that has the problem.
Your results so far may well indicate that it's your BB...one defective "new" battery (as opposed to a "known good" one) could be possible, but much much rarer to have 2. Hence, it might be that your BB itself is the cause somehow.
You may also want to try this procedure to perhaps narrow down the precise causal item:
When the behavior presents, you know the culprit...the last thing you loaded.
If the behavior does not re-present, then you know that either step 1 or 2 cured it.
If the behavior presents no matter what, then you likely have a hardware level issue for which no amount of OS or software can cure.
Good luck and let us know!

Hi, Thanks i will try these out and let you know...I have previously had it on charge for probably about 48 hours, but have not tried the battery out/waiting method..Hope i get it sorted soon, feel lost without it, and so gutted about not insuring it and it being 14 months old..If it was the phone that needed to be fixed where would i go from there?
