Phone Swap query

Hoping someone can help me! I have broken my son's Blackberry but my mum has offered us her identical one as a replacement. My mother's is registered to BBM. If I swap the Sim cards I assume we will keep my son's old number. What happens with regards to BBM and the PIN number. We have lost most of the contacts as they were saved to phone; not sim card. Thank you.

Hi and welcome to the forums!

 

BlackBerry Messenger has several ways to back up the contact lists via email and the media card. Once you open the  BlackBerry Messengerr  app in the new device you can load your contacts quickly. You can then send a broadcast with your new PIN number.
