Phone locks automatically - how can I stop that?

I just gave my blackberry a password. Now it locks automatically if I don't use it for a certain amount of time. How can I  change the settings so it doesn't lock automatically? I've gone through the manual a few times and I don't see anything in there to explain how to do this.

Hi and welcome to the forums!

Go to options security and set the Security timeout for 1 hour, that's the max.

If that isn't long enough remove the password. It's a designed security feature.

Re: Phone locks automatically - how can I stop that?

The fix offered does NOT work for two reasons

1. The blackberry curve 9300 series, security only allows 10 minutes as the maximum amount of time before locking the unit and,

2. It's security requires all users to input a new password and will not proceed to set a new password without a new password. So in other words it will not allow having NO password
