Picture file help!!

I have this problem with my pictures I save and have saved to my media card. I have had mass storage mode enabled since I have got my 8320 and been able to view my pictures files from my PC when connected to USB and on my BB when not connected. But lately I cannot see my pics on my BB when not connected and when I do connect it to my PC the pic files are JP0,JP1,etc instead of JPEG. even those that are JPEG are not visible on my BB except two random pics. I'm not sure of I messed with an option somewhere to cause this. My music files still play from the media card but the pics are a mystery...Does anyone know how to solve this? Thanks alot!!

Re: Picture file help!!

Try to do the following.

Backup all files from your media card to your desktop computer.

When your device is connected to your desktop computer it is recognized as a removable drive.

Open properties of this removable drive and format this drive with FAT32 filesystem.

Fix names and extensions of your files and copy them back to the media card.

Re: Picture file help!!

There are two file systems FAT and FAT32 (there are more than two - but we're considering two of them).

  • FAT - is an old filesystem, is also known as FAT16. It used on old computers.
  • FAT32 - is a modern one.

Seems that old filystem has been used when your sd card has been formatted.

It is short and simple explanation.
