Pin Code

I am trying to put on a pin code on my 8900 curve i have tried the default code 1234 but i am getting an error message i have tried this twice so i can only try one more time.This is a brand new phone which hasnt had the pin code changed i am on an Orange contract.

Can someone please help me out as i dont want to lok my phone up

Hi and Welcome to the Forums!

 

PIN code? Do you mean a device lock password? If so, did you assign the device lock password or was the BB given to you with the password already set? New BB's do not come with a device lock password assigned -- those are assigned by the user. So please clarify precisely what you are attempting.

I'm trying to change the SIM CARD PIN number so i have to input a pin when i switch on my phone

OK...interesting, such a PIN is not required on my carrier. Here are some KB's that discuss the issue:

It seems the common theme is to contact your carrier for assistance.
