Plz help DEAD curve 9380. red light blinking

Hi

My curve 9380 fell in water two months ago, I did the rice trick I used the hairdryer but nothing worked the red light still blinking 10111 again and again I took the phone to repair service the first guy told me the phone its dead but the second one said it might be a software problem. I download the new os 7.1 and a new DM when I connect the phone to the DM I get the update option when I click update this massage appears A connection to the device could not be established. Please ensure that the device is properly connected to the cradle or USB cable, and that the cradle or USB cable is connected securely to your computer. Also ensure that the device has completed any startup operations. Then run the Application Loader Wizard again." I tried the apploader same thing still I use the jl_cmd it can't connect to the phone I tried different battery I did reinstall new DM delete the old software no luck still. Does this mean my phone its completely dead? Please help

Re: Plz help DEAD curve 9380. red light blinking

Hey joelk,

Welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums.

Thanks for the question.

To resolve this issue, follow the steps in this KB article: www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB10144

Please note: All data will be lost when doing this procedure and you will not be able to create a backup unless the BlackBerry Curve 9380 is in a working condition.

If the issue still persists then I suggest contacting your network service provider for repair options.

Let me know if you have any more questions.

Cheers.

Re: Plz help DEAD curve 9380. red light blinking

Thanks for your feedback I did as it says but when I click upgrade it disconnects and connects shortly after. I tired using the apploader but it says. " Please ensure that the device is properly connected to the cradle or USB cable, and that the cradle or USB cable is connected securely to your computer. Also ensure that the device has completed any startup operations. Then run the Application Loader Wizard again."
