from the website, http://na.blackberry.com/eng/devices/blackberrycurve8500/, i clicked on download App world for my curve 8520.
i entered my email and i recieved the link to download it to my curvebut it gave the me the following message:

"Sorry, your device does not meet the system requirements that are needed ro support BlackBerry App World".

how can i solve this problem?


Also, am using my blue-tooth headset but when i play a sound or a video, the sound comes out from the phone not from the headset... why??

1. Where are you located?

2. Do you have the BlackBerry Data Plan on your mobile provider account?

3. Some Bluetooth headsets are not enabled for music, only for calls and notification alerts.

I am located in saudi arabia.

Yes i do have the plan of blackberry and am recieving the emails and everything is working great except the App World that doesnt meat system requrements

The latest I know is that the Middle East is not yet activated for AppWorld.

That is your problem for now.

I have the same problem.

I live in the Netherlands.

But as I read here I think I found the problem....

No data plan.

Why is it not posible to download it trough wifi?

I don't know why certain apps will not work over just WiFi. A connection to the internet should work whether you are over WiFi or the cell network in my opinion, but that's apparently not the cause for Blackberries.

I have the same problem. I can not access Blackberry app world. Also each time I try to use the internet it states that 'this is a wi fi service, make sure wi fi is connected'. I pay extra to use the internet from t mobile and want to access the internet via my network provider, not wi fi..

Any ideas...

Hi, can u guy pls help me, i stay in malaysia and i didnt subcribe to the blackberry internet service, and i try to the application world. Its come out "Sorry, your device does not meet the system requirements that are needed ro support BlackBerry App World". can anyone pls advice me.. I do try to download other like msn messenger or facebook, all also say that... One more thing is can i install the google map or gps thing into my blackberry curve 8520.. coz i saw the spec for this phone got map got gps but i use it and cannot find any application both all this thing.. Thanks for advise..
