Good Day!
I believe I am at the correct area to discuss my problem. I purchased a Blackberry Curve in September of this year. It is now November and I have a problem with the charge port. When I plug my charger in it doesn't charge. I can see the plug picture on the phone, but no charge.
I brought my phone to the place I purchased it and they told me that the port was missing some teeth. They of course will not do anything about this problem. When I bought it I wanted insurance but for some reason they didn't sign me up. I was told to check on the warranty, but the company told me that the warranty doesn't cover it. I did nothing to cause this to happen. It probably happened from being plugged in then unplugged. I feel it is a defect on the phone, and would like to be refunded. Or at least get my phone fixed. Can you help?

I also have a Blackberry curve 8320 and the charge port on the side of the phone is bad also!! Apparently this is a common issue since i have talked to about 6 others with the same issue!!!! Don't you like it how they tell us, we can buy a charge pod to charge the phone??!! What is that??? They are basically saying, we dont care to help you or resolve the issue!! And my phone was 2 months old to the day when mine went bad also!! Ok, the charging pod is an idea, BUT, what about those of us who have 4 gig micro sd cards installed and like to transfer our music from our computer to our blackberry using the desktop software since its the ONLY software ive found that easily and quickly converts large mp3 files into the wonderful AAC files for the blackberry media player???!! What about that guys?? If my problem is not resolved to my satisfaction, and by the way, I do have a great attorney, I will go on facebook, twitter, yahoo, google, and EVERY other form of media i can find and warn everyone i can about buying BlackBerry''s and RIM products. And Ill use the perfect example given when told about a defect...well find another way to fix it yourself! Wonderful RIM customer service!!!

Hello,
this may seem a lot to you, it's not to me. I have 30 people around be with a similar device (8310) ad they have absolutely no problem with the miniUSB port.

Please, read the title of this webpage : "BlackBerry Support Community forum". You are on a community forum, not a support forum. I am just a regular user who accepts to spend some of his leisure time to help other users. My answer was to try and help you, nothing more.

This is great news. It means you have all rights to go to the shop where ou bought the device and have it replaced for free.

I absolutely have no idea how this is linked to your issue, but you can take Videolan client, or WinAmp, or Audacity, or Handbrake, or any other audio encoder that can encode from any source to AAC (but that is just an example).

What have you done so far to have this problem resolved to your satisfaction? Did you contact the proper support channel?
