Red Mute icon when trying to play music loud

I got an issue with my 9300...I am able to hear all other stuff like ringtones,voicenotes and all but when I play my music or a video it can only play though the small speaker(handset) and when I press the currency/speaker button...it shows a Red Muted Speaker icon and the music/video is still super soft(speakerphone mode),its not my sound profile,not my volume,its only when I try to play it through the main speaker then it shows that icon and its soft and not as loud as it used to be..how do I fix this problem.,thanks in advance!!!

Do a simple reboot on the BlackBerry in this manner: With the BlackBerry device POWERED ON, remove the battery for a minute, and then reinsert the battery to reboot. A reboot in this manner is prescribed for most glitches and operating system errors, and you will lose no data on the device doing this.

If you place a phone call on the speakerphone, does it play normally?

Yes,its only when I want to play music or watch a video,then it can only play though the handset speaker but when I go to the menu and select "activate speakerphone" then it should normally just play louder because it would play through the main speaker,but it doesn't,it rather shows a red muted speaker..what's your email address

Hi Natey-N8,

Do one thing...After ur press the currency/speaker button, press the volume+ button on the right side of ur BB till u get the full volume...

Actually, ur speaker volume is muted, so ur not able to hear any sound from ur speaker...

Press the Menu key while playing a song...

Do you have anything in there like "Activate Handset"

or Bluetooth enabled?

Well,that's kinda another problem...my volume buttons were damaged about 10 months ago,but my music still played normal and all because when it got damaged it had full volume,its only now recently.
