I have connected my 8520 to my computer and deleted "profile" and "sounds" from the database with no luck. How can I reset profiles to default settings without restoring factory settings to the phone?

Could you please clarify what you are trying to do? Clearing the Profiles or Sounds database from your BlackBerry® Curve™ 8520 smartphone should clear out the notification settings you had configured. What is happening when you do this? Are you receiving any error messages?

I messed around with the all the sound profiles and now want the default settings. After letting the desktop manager delete the aforementioned databases, the sound profiles appear unchanged or reset back to default. I have even deleted the databases and immediately after doing so rebooted the device with no luck. I guess my only option is to do a full reset. I know I can reset the entire device and have everything back on it but you know how long that takes. I barely had time to follow up to this message.
