I've looked at the manuals & contacted Virgin phones support but still can't undo this to restore the ringer.
All I want to do is restore the ringer as currently it doesn't ring merely buzzes briefly. Currently at the foot of the dispay it says - Ringer off & there an icon of a speaker crossed out.
Any ideas please?

Sorry to hear about the issue you are experiencing with enabling your ringer on your BlackBerry® Curve™ 9300.
If you highlight the speaker icon on your BlackBerry® Curve™ 9300 smartphone and click down on your trackpad does it take you into your Profile options? Are you able to select another profile and does the icon display differently?
