SMS

Good day,

I wonder if anyone can urgently help me here?  I have a Blackberry Curve and I am with Cell C.  For the past 3 days I can't send an SMS.  The sms gives me a red cross with the message "Network out of Order".  I have sufficient airtime and sms bundles, so its not that.  I have also taken out the battery and rebooted the phone, but to no avail.  I have not changed any settings as I don't want to possibly cause more damage, unless I have to.

Your urgent response would be highly appreciated.

Thank you in advance.

Re: SMS

Hello Kahlan

Welcome to BlackBerry Support Forums

Do you recieve the same error while using the same SIM on any other mobile ?

Can you try this Knowledge Base Article related to this issue :

KB13324 : Network out of order error message received when sending an SMS message

If issue persists then you can replace your SIM with a new one .

Re: SMS

First of all, no I haven't tried my sim on another mobile.

Secondly, when I followed the steps of the knowledge base article and I get to "Network to send over" I do not have a gprs option, but the following four options:

Circuit Switched

Circuit Switched Preferred

Packet Switched Preferred; and

Packet Switched.

Re: SMS

Hi there,

Then please try that SIM on another mobile , it will let you know if the problem is within your SIM account or the problem is on your Carrier's  end .
