SYNCRONIZATION

I cannot sync my BB Curve to my laptop. Using v 4.5 with BB and my laptop is Windows XP pro...Help please.

P.S. On my desktop manager the bottom tab says "disconnected" even when I plug my BB into the USB port.

Hi and welcome to the forums!

Try downloading the blackberry USB drivers you can get them here:

 

https://www.blackberry.com/Downloads/entry.do?code=A8BAA56554F96369AB93E4F3BB068C22

 

Check to see if you have a good cable by plugging your BB device and going into Windows file manager.

You should see your BB as a removable drive.

Ifyou want the english USB Drivers,from that link, you must go to the "Desktop Manager 4.5" section and not to the "USB Drivers" sections which only contains other languages drivers.
