Saving Data From A Blackberry 8520 Curve

Hi there,

As I'm not very well clued up on this I wonder if anyone could give me a couple of tips or some help on a saving data question for the above Blackberry. I'm thinking of getting a SIM free blackberry the same a s the one I've got but want to know if I am able xfer everything I have on my existing one to the new one? Basically things like Twitter that I have stored, A mobile phone game I purchased, info I have on my password keeper, etc. My contacts are all stored on the mobile rather than the sim but I know I can copy them over!!

Help please!!???

Re: Saving Data From A Blackberry 8520 Curve

Hi and Welcome to the Community!

From what you describe, the Device Switch Wizard sounds like what you need:

  • KB23677 How to switch devices using BlackBerry Desktop Software

Be aware that, if your new device has an inadequate data plan, then some things you previously used may not work. Nearly all BB services depend on an adequate data plan...you should talk to your carrier(s) and compare the services you want against what the data plan they provide will allow.

Good luck!
