I found a cool program that does EXACTLY that and it does it super easily

and super well at www.pleasantsolutions.com/BerryExtract

On their website they say:

A simple program that lets you save your BlackBerry text messages (SMS)

to Windows text or Excel files so you can save, paste, or search them

easily. It's a Windows program so no BlackBerry installs needed. It can

also get deleted texts from backups.

Did the trick and saved me tons of time, my blackberry works faster now

that I was able to extract the text messages and delete them.

(Further to what was asked above...) I have backed up my text messages and am able to view them on the software name mentioned. But the problem is that they have the numbers of people that sent them and not their actual names. Is there a way around this? Reason being I cannot remember any of my friends numbers and i cannot find an option to get arount this!

have you checked out Dexrex yet?  Its a simple application that lets will copy text messages direct to you in an email format. You can also set time frames and have hours of back and forth discussions become one stream. <link removed>

I use Dexrex...it works great.

saves my texts and sends to email. I can see who and what phone  number it came from.

i just download this app 2 my blackberry and i do not c it in any of my emails.  please help me with this.  i have gone to two different areas, and none of them is going thru 4 me.

I'd like to do this too!  Sorry, I don't have a fix, but I've just posted a query about not being able to text my bf's number anymore, and wondered if it's because our text conversation thread is too long.  If I find this to be the case, I'd like to save our texts to my pc too....I just wondered if you wanted to do this because of a similar problem to mine...?
