Screen stays on in holster

[ Edited ]
I have the BlackBerry branded leather carrying case for my Curve. Sometimes the screen goes off soon after it's holstered and sometimes it stays on. I disabled the shortcut keys on the sides of the device and changed the settings to auto lock upon holstering and the screen still stays on. Any help would be appreciated.

The Cowskin Leather Swivel Holster - top right corner of that accessories page.

Re: Screen stays on in holster

If I were you... I'd try and inspect the holster to understand where the metal part is (that's the thing that tells your Curve whether it is in a holster or not... with mine, I can put my BB on the holster and have it darken its screen immediately).

And then I would read this post. And think of buying another holster.

Re: Screen stays on in holster

Thanks for the replies.  The problem was solved by holstering the device keyboard down - the screen goes off immediately every time.  I'll take that over buying another holster.
