Thanks very much if im allowed can i ask one final question -
on the link you provided about BIS now recognising a new user by the security wipe feature. Will that still be the case for me as i did the wipe when there was no BIS active, like will it still recognise ive wiped it with there being no internet data for say like the RIM server for it to then be ready for the new user? hope you understand what i mean

When that NEW user inserts his or her new SIM card enabled with a BIS data plan, it will recognize the BIS data plan and provide the new user. It will NOT revert to your old information. The 'wipe' is akin to formatting your hard drive on the PC.

also can i ask after the wipe i didnt get the blackberry registration email come through about being registered on the wireless network when it first boots up, is that because i didnt have a BIS account active on the device when i wiped it?
No, you shouldn't get that email because you have not inserted a SIM card with the Data Plan enabled.

You're welcome, andyp. Nope, never worked for RIM or any telcom.
Just a closet mobile phone geek.
Well, I think I am out of that closet, though, lol
