Sent Email from desktop showing up on BB message list.

Help!  I am a new user to the bb curve.  I have a gmail account that I receive messages on my bb.  I am NOT a BB enterprise server customer.  When I send an email from either my laptop or from my BB, the SENT message shows on my BB messages list.  How do i get this to stop?  It is very annoying.  I have tried the message list, options, email settings, menu button,  folder redirection process as outlined in the BB  user manual, but there is not  "sent folder" to check or unchecked...I simply have my gmail account listed.

I use an old BB for work (provided and set up by the IT department) and when I send messages either from my office computer or the device itself, the sent messages do not show up in my device inbox.

Any words of wisdom??

Re: Sent Email from desktop showing up on BB message list.

Try this: From the message box select options, under message options select General options , select  under display the 7th option - Hide Sent messages.

I had the same problem! Hope this helps!

KB10332 provides an explanation of this behaviour as well as a workaround.

KB10332 (Duplicate sent email message arrives on BlackBerry smartphone when sent using Google mail)

http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB10332

I hope this information helps.

Thanks.

Re: Sent Email from desktop showing up on BB message list.

I tried the solution mentioned above and it didn't work.  I made the filter, I've checked several times and I still get the same problem.

Any ideas?
