Hi

Brand new to Blackberry, only had it two days

Am trying to set up to recieve my E mails

Comes back with    (activation request failed. A service connection is unavailable)

Any idea what I am doing wrong.

Did you Activated BlackBerry Internet Services on your account ? If not them give a call to your Carrier and activate that in order to enjoy BlackBerry Push Email services and many other services.

Did you subscribe for BlackBerry data plan from your mobile operator? For BlackBerry device to setup for email you must have that.

How are you trying to setup emails? Please elaborate.

I am running it on vodafone, and pay as you go

I go into setup

select E Mail accounts

Type in my E mail address and password

and press activate

As mentioned in my post...did you subscriber for BlackBerry data plan from your mobile operator? This data plan is not same as your internet data plan. BlackBerry data plan need to be subscribed in addition to your internet data plan.
