Setting up an email address for Mail.com

Hi, I am having real and I mean real problems setting up my Mail.com email. Since their settings have changed I have not received any emails. I am on my third blackberry curve, Carphonewarehouse don't know what to do. It just wont set up. I get "update failed" I have tried to set up through T Mobile on my phone, no luck, says an error has occurred while setting up email...I have run out of ideas. Contract is ending in Nov and very tempted to go to another smartphone. Please help (not too much technical info, I know my way round a computer but I am not that great)

I had the same problem. It took me ages to figure it out but now it works.

Stats:
Email address - (address goes here)
Email account name - (I use my email address)
Your name - (well, pretty self explanatory)

Advanced options:
Email Server: imap.mail.com
Email Server Type: IMAP
Port: 993
Use SSL (checked)
Timeout: 120 seconds

Try that and let me know.

Hi, Thanks for that, I am up and running, did the same as you, but put in pop. I am receiving emails so i must have done something right.  :Clap:

im using BOLD 9900 with Vodafone....error persists when i setup a email
