Setting up my Email Account?

When I did the set up wizard, then it just gave me an option to do the Enterprise Email servor option. When I read the user guide however, it said that it should give me a personal email option where I can create or add an account of any sort like say my yahoo mail account or my school email account. How do I activate this when it does not give me an option to do so in the set up wizard.

Re: Setting up my Email Account?

Greetings, and welcome to the BlackBerry.com Support Forums.

Do you have a BB Data Plan on your carrier account? You must, for that personal email setup icon to appear.

Re: Setting up my Email Account?

Options > Advanced > Host Routing Table > Menu > Register.

With the BlackBerry device powered ON, remove the battery a few seconds and then reinsert the battery to reboot.

See if you get the service books you need. If not, you will need to go to the Rogers BIS account and send the service books..

Re: Setting up my Email Account?

I have tried setting up my accounts by following the instructions three times.  I can send and receive under WiFi, but can only send when under EDGE.

I have tried setting up the accounts through the email set up  icon and BIS.  I get the activation email sent to the mailboxes (when under WiFi), tried sending the books several trimes, ensured mobile options has the data services on, etc.

When I go to my Rogers account adn click on wireless, the system says:

"You currently do not have any accounts registered to your online profile. You will need to add your Rogers account to your online profile in order to perform this activity. "

How do I add my ROgers account to my online profile?

Thanks

Re: Setting up my Email Account?

You should be able to go through and add it in your self via the "Set up Internet Email" icon/program. It should have come standard with your phone, unless you bought yours used. In which case it might be "hidden", simply press the "menu"(looks like the blackberry symbol) button when on the application screen then click "show all" which will then display all your applications. You should now see a "Set up Internet Email" slightly grayed out (hazy, translucent, or dimmed depending on what you wish to call it), place the cursor over the "Set up Internet Email" Icon and press the "menu" button and click the "hide" options, which should have a check next to it. This action should bring it into full color and you should be able to un-"show all" the icons and still see it. Once that is done, open the "Set up Internet Email" and procced with the set up. Once done you should get another seperate icon that is designated at your email account's "mail" box (more set up email accounts yeilds to more seprate icons). You should now be set up and be recieveing emails shortly. Your welcome and happy emailing -DarkDove

Re: Setting up my Email Account?

THanks for the quick response.  By the application screen, do you mean the applications folder?  I can't find the file you mentioned.  I bought it new.

THanks.
