Now that it's almost 2013, are there any apps that would give you the abillity to use Skype with the aforementioned phone?

Skype for BlackBerry is available for Verizon devices and customers.
However, the 9320 model BlackBerry Curve is not a Verizon device. Are you sure that's your model?

Thanks for the quick reply... I believe that it is. But I have to get a new pair of glasses, as mine are not sufficient to see these REEALLY SMALL numbers on the phone... lol.

If it is indeed a 9320, that model will NOT work on Verizon.
Could it be a 9360?
On your BlackBerry, go to Options > Device > scroll down to About Device Versions... first line says?
