Re: Slow download speed

Guys if you delete any of the internet browsing service than your BIS will be inactive and you will pay for data usage, although your internet will be super fast. If you choose to do this than I reccommend you purchase data bundles.

Re: Slow download speed

@ historhmaker, blackberry internet browsing service 2, the fact that it is labelled 2 indicates there will also be one there called just blackberry internet browsing service.

So if you have both then delete 2. This will not incur costs.

Re: Slow download speed

Hi guys. Truth is the networks are slowin our browsing speeds and download speeds. Why I don't know. But look at all the people that use the networks during world cup and other big events and no crash. I suppose to keep their profits up they have to do something, coz we bis users are getting way more bang for buck than anyone else.

South Africa?

I know I read in the past year several African mobile providers were throttling down the speed of downloads for users.

That's something BlackBerry has no control over.

Re: Slow download speed

Hi guys,it is all about money, let's look at some figures, normal data rates is R2 per mb but the more data you buy the less it costs,so let's say 100000 bis users each downloads 100 mb per day for a month at 10 c per mb,that gives you R300000000,subtract 590000 that each bis user pay per month,it gives you a loss of 29.41 million rand per month, that is a lot of money, take it at normal data rates and my faithfull old bb's calculator is too small to make the calculation,we don't like it but that is the way it is-all about money,I hope my calculations is correct
