I am brand new to Blackberry - just got a Curve 8530.  Playing with it, I found that two of the included “smiley” images for SMS text messages are switched - the emoticon view does not match the graphic & “name” of the picture.  The items that are switched are “Straight Face” and “Whew”. 

Is there a way to fix them - so I know which is actually sending within the message?  Thanks!

Yep, it's bass-ackwards on mine also, on the 9520.

I don't know of any way to switch it.

What OS is on your device?

Look at Options > About, third line down beginning with a "v.4.xxx"
What is yours?

And your BBMessenger version> look at options > Applications, what version?

Thanks for the directions!  Never would have found where to go!

Version is v5.0.0.337 (platform 4.2.0.136)

I haven't used BB Meesenger yet, but I think it is 4.7.0

Yea, I've checked with a couple of friends, on OS 5 devices and they too have these smileys switched in SMS.

hey everyone, i'm also new to blackberries and just managed to get one for Christmas... I wanted to know if its possible to replace the default smileys with custom ones that I find from the web on my phone? please let me know if I can do it, thanks for your time.
