Did a google search and came up with this:
The computing "environment" has values that are changeable, or "variable"
and can be set for certain needs of different software programs. The
physical location of temporary storage is one of those environment
variables. It's identified by TEMP or TMP in the environment variables
settings.
Software applications use this location to create files "on the fly" that
are used while you are working in the application. Sometimes this physical
location gets too large and the computer can no longer use the folder
effectively. This may be what's happening.
Here's how to view and change those environment variables:
Right-click on My Computer and select Properties.
Select the Advanced tab.
Select the Environment Variables button.
Check the location of TEMP and TMP (probably c:\temp, or c:\windows\temp, or
something).
Make sure the setting exists, first of all, then check that there is such a
location on your hard drive. Then, perhaps cleaning out the files will
clear up the issue.

Bifocals is right. It is a Windows problem. When Windows work, and you use applications, they use RAM. It is fast memory, to do the stuff. Sometimes, the applications need to use a temporary folder, and sometimes when they have done using it, they do not tidy what they have put in it. Windows is supposed to take care of that folder, but you can also take care of it. It's easy actually.
You just have to go to that TEMP folder, and delete everything that is in it. Then you have to go to the trashbin to delete the rest.
the really easiest and faster way is :
- open Internet Explorer
- in the address bar, type %TEMP% (it's 6 characters) then ENTER.
- you'll go to your Windows Explorer automatically.
- just select all files and folders and delete everything.
Don't worry, if Windows thinks you shouldn't delete it, it will tell you. Just continue with the following files.
