I have tried to perform a software update on my 9360, but it has be frozen in the same place for more than 24 hours.
It won't let me stop the update, but nor will it move on at all. What are my options? Can I reset the phone somehow?

yes, pull the battery and let it boot.
You may have to force the detection of the BlackBerry smartphone using Application Loader to do the software reload if it gets stuck again.

mine did the same it has been stuck at 6% over all backup progress for about 7 hours now i took the battery out followed your instructions on the link and its still at 6% over all backup progress 2 hours after that!! its saying i cant disconnect from it now or my blackberry will be unusable
how can i sort it now??
