Software Update

I appear to have a problem with my BlackBerry software.

I attempted to update and received the following message....

Error 1723....RepairRimUsbDriverNt. 07D232B6_7904_4970_8B22........

Can you please advise.

Thank you.

Re: Software Update

It could be one of many different things.  The best thing to do is a battery pull.  Remove your battery while your phone is powered on then replace it.  That will usually correct issues such as this one.  If it doesn't, post back and we'll look at other options.

Cheers.  :smileyhappy:

Re: Software Update

Pulling battery did not work.

Continue to receive same error message.

Re: Software Update

So, is the device unusable now or working and just won't upgrade to the new OS?

Re: Software Update

The device is working fine.

I backup daily with BlackBerry Protect.

So do I need the following :-

When I connect my device to my computer I get a disconnected message!!

I do not have access to:-

Access

Back up

Restore

Delete Data

Device Options

Device Properties

Ideally I would like to know / confirm that I have the most uptodate software.

Thank you.

Re: Software Update

My current OS is 7.1 Bundle 2753 (v7.1.0.1011)

Please advise if this is the most up to date version.

Thank you.

Re: Software Update

v7.1.0.1011, is up to date.

I don't know what you mean having access to "Access".

Re: Software Update

Access refers to a menu I receive when I attach my device to my computer in the BlackBerry settings:-

BlackBerry Desktop Software

Device         Tools        Media

When I tab on to Device I do not have access to the following within the Device menu:-

Sync all

Backup

Restore

Delete Data

Device Options

Device Properties.

Apologies, I appear to have included reference to Access.

[ Edited ]

Lyner47, does your device show as connected in Desktop Software and show your device PIN in the screen?
