Stolen 9360

Hi,

Can anyone explain how my stolen 9630 can still be used even though my carrier assures me that the IMEI is blocked.

Is there any way of tracing the phone or getting Blackberry to block it.

Thanks in advance

Keith

Not knowing what is being used, it's impossible to guess. Are they making phone calls? Using data? BBM? Something else? In any event, your carrier is your sole resource for doing anything that can be done.

The above-referenced thread contains all available actions. If you want to request more, you'd have to convince your carrier to formally escalate your case up to BlackBerry. There is no free path by which end users can make any requests directly to BlackBerry.

Good luck!

Re: Stolen 9360

Thanks for the information, looks like there is nothing I can do, which is frustrating. Maybe be BB should follow Apple's example and include a tracking option within the core functionality rather than rely on add ons which don't survive a factory restore.

I know it is being used for BBM, which may mean it's on  WiFi but that seems like a lot of effort/risk on behalf of the thief to get a WiFi enabled organiser.
