Sudden problem with letter R

Since yesterday my Blackberry is constantly displaying the following message:

"Assign a Speed Dial to the R key?"  Although it gives me the option to press yes / No, I can't actually press no!

Pressing yes takes me to the address book, but only allows me to type R - whatever else I try to do!

In a message, the touchpad now also prints Rs

It keeps appearing, and now when I type a message, the letter R keeps appearing at odd times, either lower or upper case ...

Any idea how to solve this? I have rebooted (i.e. taken battery out many times, to no avail!

As you can imagine, this is ever so irritating!

Thank you!

HI There!

I assume that your phone's R key is depressing to the keboard. What you need to do is remove the keypad (do it only if you can handle it) and if not give it to a local phone shop ( a known phone shop) and get it repaired.

It's just a small thing, you would need to take out the keyboard and again fix it to the correct position.

Check some Youtube videos that will help you on how to do it.
