This is what i was talking about when i stated that the blackberry even when plugged into the manager will not allow me access to what you mentioned.

at the bottom of the window there is a line with written :
Device connected (PIN) : None

it means the desktop manager cannot see your Blackberry.

I do understand that none means that it is unable to read or find my device, so my question is how do i get it so that it will acknowledge my device?
