Synchronisation of gmail contacts OK, but can't synchronise Emails

Dear Blackberry-community!

 

I recently changed my mobile contract and kept my professional Blackberry Curve 9300.

I managed to configurate gmail and to synchronize contacts & agenda, but I can't manage to synchronize emails.

It seems to me that the former configuration that blocked private Email-adresses is still active, but I don't know where and how to change.

Hi and Welcome to the Community!

 

From what you say, I interpret that you had BES Activated on your BB, but you have separated from that company/that BES now, but your BB was not properly cleansed of it's IT Policy, which therefore continues to restrict things. To remedy, you must do specific wiping of your BB as follows:

  1. First, review the link from my auto-sig regarding Backups...this process will completely wipe your BB clean, and you will need to start over.
  2. Once ready, follow this KB to cleanse your BB of the IT Policy:
    • KB31291 How to reset a BlackBerry smartphone to factory settings using BlackBerry Desktop Software
  3. When/if you restore, DO NOT do a full restore...restore only those databases that are essential, especially avoiding those that have anything to do with Enterprise, BES, IT Policy, etc. If you fail at this step and restore everything, you will simply put the IT Policy back onto your BB, and be right back where you started.
