I am having the same problem!!! I took it to the Verizon store last night and they tested it and of course it worked. But as soon as I get home, it stops working !!!! What's the deal????
The guy at the Verizon store fixed my texting problem! When I set up contacts I always put a "1" in front of the area code. The guy deleted the "1" from the number. So I did this to all my contacts with a mobile number. I sent texts to 6-7 random people, all were successful. I hope this fix works for anyone else with this problem. Thank You to all who tried to help me!!
I am having the same problem. I had it the last time I did an update, but can not remember what I did to fix it. So, removing the "1" from a phone number will fix it this time? That seems kind of drastic, as that has to be there to make a phone call.
My phone automatically puts the "1" on the phone number when I hit the call button. It puts the number on the screen and the 1 is there. Hopefully it works for you as well.
I was having the same problem. Was on the phone for hours with both verizon and Blackberry tech support and noti g they had me do fixed the problem. I finally figured out to take the 1 out of my contacts and it worked. Told Verison tech support that I fixed it myself. Also told them to let all curve customers know that is what they need to do.
I had the same problem. Only had a few contacts with 1 in front of the number and couldnt figure out why some texts went and others didnt. This Community forum solved my problem.
