I just bowgt a blackberry 8330 when I try to dial it put a +1 in front of the number.

I'm loking for the smart dialing option under the options menu, under menu but there is no smart dialing and don't know what to do

you're not looking at the right place.

From the Home screen :

1. hit the phone key (green)
2. hit the Menu key
3. select "Options"
4. select "Smart dialing"

Xandrex, I think "Smartdial" used to be where you say to look but it is not there now.  Any suggestions on how to download it.  TMobile says the 8320 doesn't come with Smartdial.

The person at T-Mobile that told you that either lacks knowledge, or mistakes the "Smartdial" feature with something else.
