The USB on my Sprint Blackberry Curve 8330 is damaged, also the screen is broken. The rest works perfectly. I have another phone exactly the same but in new condition so I was wondering that will be just a matter to transfer my address book to it and have Sprint to swap the phone numbers but as of today November 18th 2010, the only option available still to engrave the contacts on a rock one by one and then entering each one by one on the new phone.
I was wondering if you guys can give me any better ideas to transfer my contacts from one Blackberry 8330 to another Blackberry 8330 when the USB doesnt work. Internet, Blue Tooth and Phone are available
...Yeah, I didn't research enough before buying the BB and instead of a phone I endup paying for a Rube Goldberg Machine, it is all my fault but please help me

Hi Jessica;
Your instructions work very well thank you.
I find myself in a situation where I have 2 blackberries and I don't have both with me all the time. Needless to say, the contact list in each don't correspond. I want to be able to link them and/or back them up every once in a while so that the lists match, if only for a day or so.
Any thoughts?

you can transfer contacts from phone to sim and sim to phone. Easiest way to update your address book if you have to transfer between two phones of different makes.

Welcome to the club...
I tried doing this from one Curve to Curve Phone and nothing worked. Finally got one idea and followed the simple steps.
1. Installed 'Drop Box' for Blackberry from www.dropbox.com/blackberry on both Phones.
2. From the Source phone went to the contacts menu and it gives an option to export / import the contacts to Drop box.
3. Choose the destination folder (in Dropbox) and saved the VCF file of the complete contacts. and Exited from drop box on the source BB.
4. Logged in to BB on Destination phone and logged in to Dropbox and choose the same option to Import the contacts to New BB. Phew.. I m done.
The Source contacts were completely COPIED to the Destination BB in less than 5 Minutes and the already existing contacts in the Destination BB were not disturbed. Now i have all the contacts on my Destination BB.
Cheers to Dropbox.... ![]()
