I want to use Blackberry Desktop to transfer my memos from my old BB to my new BB, however I just get an error message which takes me nowhere.

Please help!

Hi there,

Try simply backing up your old BlackBerry device using the Desktop Software. Don't use the Device Switch Wizard, just back up your phone.

Then, simply restore that backup to your new BlackBerry. That should do it for you!

Thanks so much for responding.  Unfortunately this what I tried to do.  The error message says

The organizer applications on your computer aren't supported.

The sub message says to refer to release notes on the blackberry website for a list of supported organizer applications.  I did this however did not find anything that referred to my problem (that I could recognise anyway!!)

Any ideas what I could try next?

Wait, did you try to sync, or just back up your data?

That is... I can't figure out why you're seeing that message then. That's more of what I would expect if you were synching your info.

What version of the Desktop Software are you using?

Hi - thanks for the clarification.  I thought I had to sync in order to back up, but clearly not - so have now achieved back up (phew!).  With the new blackberry, do I use Restore to move the files across?
