Trouble with MEID

Hello, everyone.

I had an Alltel 8330 Curve that was recently replaced (lost first one).  Ins. Co. replaced with another Alltel 8330.  When the phone was activated by Verizon, it associates the MEID with a Pearl 8130 instead of a 8330 Curve.  Have gone round and round w/Verizon until Ins. Co. replaced the phone again (this was Vz's idea).  I activated the phone myself this time using the new MEID and the same problem.  Verizon shows it as a 8130 instead of a 8330.  They don't know how to fix -- any ideas?

Many thanks.

Hi there!

FYI -- you've posted this to the Welcome & Introductions forum...not usually for direct assistance. But, don't double-post, we will have this moved momentarily to the correct place:

I'm thinking we should put it into the forum that is the actual model number...not the strange one that VZW seems to think it is! That way, the right experts will have the best visibility.

Good luck!
