Trying to retreive contacts from Blackberry 9310 Curve

[ Edited ]

Hello everyone,

My father-in-law has a Blackberry Curve 9310 and he uses it for work but two days ago it has stopped working completely. We brought it to be repaired and it is not a problem with the battery but another problem that the technician is not capable of fixing.

I am here in Venezuela and am not familiar with Blackberry devices but this phone has no sim card and I just want to be 100% sure that there is absolutely no way that we can retreive his contacts from the phone as he has lost two years of phone numbers for business.....

If anyone has any solutions I would be really really greatful!!

EDIT: and also note: the phone will not turn on...at all even when connected to the computer.

Please use plain text.

Re: Trying to retreive contacts from Blackberry 9310 Curve

Hi and Welcome to the Community!

The only way to retrieve the data is if the device can power up...since you say it cannot, then there is no way for you to retrieve the data now. This is a hard lesson -- backups, like insurance, are neither a reactive nor an optional activity to conduct.

Good luck!
