USB Connection

I installed the desktop manager that came with the Curve.  It worked fine the first day syncing and updating.  Now I can not get the USB to recognize the BB.  ANy advise?

Re: USB Connection

Make certain your USB cable is connected to one of the PC's main rear USB ports. Not a USB hub, nor a monitor USB port, nor a USB port on the front of the PC.

If still nothing, or you do have your USB connected to a rear port, unplug the BB from the USB, and reboot the PC, and the BlackBerry as well, open Desktop Manager again and connect the BlackBerry device.

Re: USB Connection

I have tried all the USB ports.  THe ports work for other devises (camera and air card)  When the BB USB is connected it states the USB Devise is not Recognized.   I have plugged the BB into another computer and it brings up that it is a BB.  I have restarted the computer numerous times and the BB as well.

Re: USB Connection

You might need to reinstall Desktop Manager.

Download Desktop Manager from here:

Re: USB Connection

I've had the same problem.  I just bought an 8310 and I downloaded the latest desktop manager software from RMI and I can't get it recognize my BB.
