USB not available to use

Hello,

I've been trying to add music from my computer to my phone. However, when I plug in the usb, the pop up dialog box only shows "USB COMPOSITE DEVICE Installed", with a checkmark beside it. It's not shown in "my computer". I have pulled out the battery and SIM card and put them back, but it's still the same.

Please help, thanks!!

Re: USB not available to use

Hello,

Thank for for replying my post!

I've installed the software. Now I can import photos from my phone to computer, but not vise versa. As for music, it says "your media cannot be synchronized. Your device has insufficient storage to sync media. Consider using a media card with your device.", and I don't have a media card. Do I need one??

Thank you for you help!

Re: USB not available to use

I've never bothered with the Desktop Software synchronization function. My preference has been to control the process completely, and use my BB as a USB drive (2 drives, if you also have an SD card in it). That way, I have complete control over everything.

You don't need a media/SD card...unless you exceed the fixed amount of Device Memory with things you attempt to store there.

Good luck!

Re: USB not available to use

Well I think that I kinda figure out how to use the software now. Even though it doesn't shown in "my computer", as a normal USB does, I can  just copy and paste files to the software. Anyways thanks again for checking out my post and posting the link; I thought nobody would've read my post. =)
