Have you been able to connect in the past, or never?

Re: Unable to connect to home WiFi

I've been able to connect but abt a couple of weeks ago I couldn't. I've called ATT to assist b/4, but this time they wanted me to pay b/c they said the problem was outside of their normal tech support.

After refusing to pay, rep suggested I contact BB support.

My phone can detect my home wifi, but is now unable to connect b/c "Failed to obtain IP address."

I can connect w/other wifi, just not at home.

Also, there's another BB curve in our home that won't connect to home wifi either for same reason.

Re: Unable to connect to home WiFi

Do you know how to reboot your router? It's pretty simple... remove the power plug from the router and the internet IN cable, both for about a minute, replace and allow the router to boot up.

Likewise, Do a simple reboot on the BlackBerry in this manner: With the BlackBerry device POWERED ON, remove the battery for a minute, and then reinsert the battery to reboot. A reboot in this manner is prescribed for most glitches and operating system errors, and you will lose no data on the device doing this.

Now, try the connection again

Re: Unable to connect to home WiFi

Thank you so much for your help! It worked. Now both phones are connected. Now I know where to come for tech support instead of waiting on the hold for eons! Lol! Thanks again!
