how did you upgrade and now can you download facebook on your curve?

I followed a Link upgrade through You Tube and I click on the Link Download OS6 FREE for Blackberry 8520 Curve so I did! I follow all the steps and Upgrade my handheld to OS6 (even Reboot), then Re-Download Blackberry Apps World after "Successfully" Download when I want to open the App; srry your device not meeting the requirements, when I tried to logg in again: http Error 404: not found

Upgrade to Blackberry 8520 Curve OS6 FREE through Yu Tube link - after Reboot it shows;
Name: Blackberry 6
Version: 6.0
Vendor: RIM
Size: 402.2 KB (not sure cause it was busy)
Now Facebook App Download still headace!

can some one please post the link for the OS6 for 8520 curve. I am from South Africa & was told that there is not OS6 available for this model.

Hi I am from South Africa and I don't think that its a good idea to upgrade the 8520 to OS6 due to the fact that RIM International personally said that their will never be a OS6 update for 8520, the youtube link that gives you the option to update is an unofficial link, therefore problems will occur, remember app world shows which app is compatible with which model and OS.

Go on Youtube and type in "Blackberry Curve 8520 OS 6" and there should be a few videos with instructions and a web link

"www.bbthemelab.com/s/44behe" does not give you OS6 for 8520 but provides you with a Free OS6 Theme, the only downfall of this Theme for 8520 is that it does not give 8520 users the Tray.

i just wana ask is the company will upgrate the os on curve 8520 cuse if they not i thinking i need to buy new cellphone in that case im not gona but my money on phone that when i install one app i need to reboot my device or i wait for year or two just to make new software that if they not but it on new device and mine cant get the new software im thinking to buy iphone my brother have one 3Gs he but the last new software on it and he buy it before 3 years  ( did that mean any think to the blackberry company how know ) i have curve 8520 i buy it in 2011 and i still wait new software for make it better or newer i wish have answer

No, there is not and won't be any OS6 for the 8520 model, as was stated here a year ago, in this very same thread and in dozens more in this forum.
