I have a BB Curve 9300, and its about 1 year 7 months old. My phone has many issues and I don't want to spend additional money on getting it fixed through Telus when the cost is like buying another phone. One day it wouldn't allow me to receive bbm's, emails, facebook, or phone calls- but I could receive texts. It also restarts itself every time I try to watch a Youtube video. Sometimes I can hear a third person on the phone, like it was a walkie talkie. I called Telus and they told me it couldn't happen, but I'm being honest. Any suggestions? I'm ready to give up on Blackberry unless it starts working properly.

Hi and welcome to the forums!
Let's start with what steps you have taken to fix the problems in the year and 7 months you've had it. List all device OS Upgrades/reloads. Please include as many details as possible so we can avoid suggesting repetitive steps. Also can you include what basic maintenance you perform on a regular basis. What version of Desktop Manager software do you have installed on your desktop? What version of device OS is installed now?
While you post back with the information I'll reread The Exorcist (just in case.) ![]()
Thanks,

KB23393 How to check the model number and version of installed BlackBerry device software on a BlackBerry smartphone

Sorry it took me so long to respond...the email went to my junk account. Okay, so I have Software Version 6.0 Bundle 2391 (v6.0.0.534). The Desktop Software is version 2.3.1. Aside from updating it every once in a while, I also clear the event log to try to make it go faster. I still have 614.2 MB left on the memory, so I don't think it has anything to do with that. I find I usually have to reset the phone a couple times a week after I turn it on, or nothing (bbm's, SMS, facebook, or emails) will come through. I hope this helps.
The Exorcist might be a good idea...although the voices through the line I havent heard in about 8 months.
Thanks for your help!!!
