Voice Mail

I would like to set up my curve to call voicemail and enter the password without having to type.  Is this possible and how do I do it?

Thanks

Re: Voice Mail

First, from the Technical Solution Center (http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/microsites/search.do?cmd=displayKC&docType=kc&externalId=KB10881):

To set the automatic dial of the voice mail password on the BlackBerry device

  1. From the Home screen, click the Phone icon, open the menu, and select Options > Voice Mail.
  2. Two options are available:
Access Number and Additional Number (BlackBerry Device Software 4.1)
Access Number and Password (BlackBerry Device Software 4.2)
  3. In the Access Number field, type the phone number dialed to connect to the voice mail mailbox. (this is typically pushed by your carrier)
  4. In the Additional Number or Password field, enter the password to access the voice mail mailbox.
Note: If entering multiple sets of digits for the password, use a comma to separate the sets. A two second pause will be used before dialing the additional digits.

Now that's for your BlackBerry's voice mail.  If you want to program a phone number in your address book for your work phone's voice mail, the directions are here:

http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/microsites/search.do?cmd=displayKC&docType=kc&externalId=KB13907

To add a pause or a wait to a phone number in the Address Book application, perform the following:

  1. From the Home screen, click Address Book.
  2. Click a contact entry.
  3. Open the menu and click Edit.
  4. After typing the phone number in the Phone Number field, open the menu.
  5. Click either Add Pause or Add Wait.
  6. Type the additional numbers.
  7. Open the menu and click Save.

Re: Voice Mail

I have the blackberry curve 8330.  When I go to options menu, there s no selection for voice mail.  I am on software version 4.5.  Why is this?

Re: Voice Mail

Go into the Phone application, THEN hit [Menu] and select Options.

You're looking at the Device's Options.
