I've been having this problem for about 2 weeks now. When someone leaves me a voicemail, I check it and delete the message and the icon goes away. Every night when I go to bed, I turn off my phone but do not use full power off, just off so that my alarm will sound in the morning. In any event, when I turn my phone back on the icon reappears, i then have to dial voicemail and there is NO new messages.

Is this a software issue of some kind?

hi. i dont know how to get rid of the icon. sorry about that one. but it would help if you could tell me how you are dialing into your voicemail because everytime i do all i get is your voicemail service has been updated. check in 5 minutes.. and i have a voicemail that i need to check and i cant get into it.
