WIFI and BIS

Hi guys,

 

My Curve 9380 BIS will not connect via WIFI.  I'm sure it used to but can't say 100%.

 

When I'm in my home network no problem, I have more than I'll ever use data wise included in my plan.  Trouble is when I'm roaming - I work in UAE on 6 week rotations.  At €11 per MB a four figure monthly bill is easily accomplished!

 

I've tried the obvious battery out trick, complete reset, software update, sent and resent service books, it just refuses to connect BIS through wifi.  Internet connects OK using wifi.

 

Any help or suggestions gratefully received!

Try using the Wi-Fi® Diagnostics tool on the BlackBerry® smartphone to find out where the problem is:

OK thanks - when I try the start-run thing I get a message saying "telnet" is not a command. 

 

The wifi diagnostics under Blackberry infrastructure I get a green tick next to 'connecting', and amber '-' next to 'authenticating router' and a grey '/' next to authenticating server

 

I'll try the start run thing again.......
